Is That Sore Dangerous?
© By Lena Sanchez
Is that spot serious? Maybe and maybe
not!
Sometimes, it itches and is sore, but other than that in the beginning it
doesn't seem urgent. It may appear as a single small red pimple on the aureola.
There are very few women out there who know that a lesion or rash on the
nipple or aureola may be breast cancer.
Danger is when a persistent redness, oozing, and crusting of the nipple with
itching and burning of your nipple that will not heal that sometimes has
a whitish thick looking area in center of the nipple. Usually only one nipple
is affected.
One of the biggest problems with Paget's disease of the nipple is that those
symptoms appear to be harmless. It is frequently thought to be a skin inflammation
or infection, which can lead to unfortunate delays in detection and care.
Paget's, the little talked about problem that leads to death if not corrected!
Not restricted to just women either.
Paget's Disease: an eczematous inflammatory cancerous condition especially
of the nipple and areola a chronic disease in which the bones become enlarged,
weak, and deformed. If caught when in its precancerous condition the outcome
is very good.
This rare form of breast cancer, appears on the outside of the breast, on
the nipple and aureola. It sometimes appears as a rash, which later becomes
a lesion with a crusty outer edge.
The nipple doesn't seem any different, but the rash.
How is it diagnosed? Your doctor will do a physical exam and should suggest
having a mammogram of both breasts, done immediately. Even though the redness,
oozing and crusting closely resemble dermatitis, your doctor should suspect
cancer if the sore is only on one breast. He/She should order a biopsy of
your sore to confirm what is going on.
Padgets' as is Addisons' disease is associated with hypercalcemia, as well
as the use of diuretic medications.
Hypercalcemia is a condition defined as having serum calcium above 10.5 milligrams
percent. However, symptoms of the condition may not even appear until the
serum calcium reaches
12 milligrams… One of the reasons to not take calcium supplements alone.
Calcium requires other minerals for the systems to process and utilize it
properly!
Reduce calcium-binding foods, and make sure you are supplementing with complete
sea based liquid minerals to balance the system in order to cut down on hypercalcemia.
If you are not supplementing with quality 84 total minerals and trace minerals
you need to discontinue dairy products, which is the number one no no food.
Yes, dairy is said to be good for
your calcium needs. Actually it is a calcium binder setting you up for more
serious illnesses, with Padgets being one of them…
Read labels and stay away from products that say, "calcium added." That includes
some orange juices, rice, cereals, carbonated soft drinks, beer and some
water.
Balance is always the way to assure health!
Go in good health,
